So why I am here blogging?

It's where I'm putting all of my past literature (erotic poetry and short stories) as well as new writings.

To regale you with tales of my various shenanigans.

I'll be writing about my journey in kink, polyamory, and BDSM. I want to be more aware of who I am. My role has changed. My partners have changed. Writing about these things helps me boil them down to their essence and hopefully helps others to see things from a different perspective.

The process of evolving is always curious to me and I hope to stimulate discussion by recording it. Please, feel free to comment.

My poly essay for my English Comp class

When One Is Not Enough

For the majority of the population, monogamy is the only style of relationship they’ve seen, experienced, or desired, but there is another choice that a growing number of people have made. Polyamory can be a healthy, deeply satisfying, ethical alternative to monogamy and may be a more natural relationship style for many people who find monogamy to be difficult. Some people who have heard of polyamory mistakenly believe it is polygamy, a marriage between one man and several wives, or that its simply a promiscuous lifestyle. In addition to the variety of reasons that some people are non-monogamous, it makes sense from an anthropological standpoint. A healthy, non-monogamous lifestyle allows people to explore different facets of themselves, develop a strong sense of self, and find a close-knit community of others who value radical honesty.

Polyamory, also called “ethical non-monogamy”, translates into the words “many
loves”, and means that a person has more than one romantic partner. Sometimes its easier to understand a concept by defining what it isn’t. Polyamory isn’t cheating, since its focus is on honesty and full disclosure, requiring all parties to be aware of and consenting to other relationships. Proponents of non-monogamy believe in loving, committed relationships, just as monogamous people do, but they don’t believe that relationships equate exclusivity or possession. (Humanist Poly) In our culture there are strong societal influences that inculcate Americans to be monogamous. People are taught that if there is something lacking in a current partner they need to end that relationship before partnering with someone new. This is called serial monogamy. Although non-monogamous behavior is prevalent among monogamous individuals, it generally isn’t discussed openly. Polyamory puts forth that people aren’t required to choose one relationship over another and this is never done in a secretive manner (Poly Ideology).
Given how challenging a relationship with one person can be at times, polyamory begs the question, “Why do some people choose relationships that included more than one partner?” Many who are non-monogamous feel strongly that it isn’t realistic for one person to meet all of their needs. Some say they are simply not wired for monogamy and have failed when they try to be faithful to only one person. (Humanist Poly) A common refrain is that different partners awaken aspects of their personalities that might otherwise remain dormant, making participants feel well-rounded. Anthropologist Helen Fisher believes that evolutionarily, humans are programmed for serial pair-bonding, or serial monogamy, in which sexually faithful unions last approximately four years: just long enough for a child to be weaned from total dependence. ("Monogamy: Is It Natural?")
While some say that this lifestyle will have negative psychological effects, is destined for failure, or is impossible to maintain, the experiences of many polyamorists tell a different story. People who are in non-monogamous relationships learn to continuously negotiate, process, and analyze themselves and their relationships. They tend to have an ongoing, rational and democratic approach to solving problems such as feelings of jealousy or exclusion. They tend to find that stresses in relationships often arise because of individual issues that have not been properly examined or dealt with. Through intense self-examination and reflection they become skilled at uncovered problematic aspects of their psyche (Poly Ideology). Polyamorous ideology presupposes that emotions, such as jealousy, can be taken apart, their sources exposed, their manifestations understood, and ideally their wounds healed (This is my partner). It seems that polyamorous relationships have the capacity to help people to explore the different facets of themselves through very healthy methods.

It is obvious that the goal of a polyamorous lifestyle isn’t superficial, promiscuous,
irresponsible sex. Non-monogamy attracts those who renounce conforming to societal
expectations of monogamy and believe in living authentically, according to their nature. They choose to live a non-monogamous life because they think it’s more realistic and satisfying to have their needs met by more than one person and because monogamy often fails for requiring one person to meet all of a needs of a partner. Advocates for polyamory value radical honesty, self-knowledge and self-possession. Its proponents come to a deeper understanding of themselves through the different ways they see themselves reflected in the eyes of other partners. Non-monogamy may not be for everyone, however, with monogamous relationships succeeding, on average, fifty percent of the time, many are choosing to open themselves and their relationships up to new possibilities.

A text message worth remembering

I think I'll occasionally write these down.  They amuse me so,  and hitting delete on my Centro always makes me sad.  With the fairly intense memory loss I know I wont remember them.

Me:  You should vacuum pump.  Then do needles.  Make a corset.  Then take pics.  With the bigger hood ring it'll look awesome.  And bloody.

G: Sounds fun.  Wreck and vacuum all weekend.   Corset Tuesday night.  Should look a frightful mess.

G:  By the way,  if you do manage to push the Hulk out,  we need video.

Me:  I didn't agree to that!  No scars!

G:  I promise to make them symmetric.  Even if I have to even them out with....

wait for it...

a box cutter.

Me:  Lemme tell ya where you can stick your box cutter.

G:  Topping from the bottom again?

Me:  Just being my lovable self.  If you can get a surgical blade I might let ya.

G:  So basically a razor knife in disposable foil.  I'm shocked.  Think of the environment!

Me:  I think the benefits outweigh the environmental impact.   Oh, and by the way,  kiss my ass.

What makes a person well-suited for poly relationships?

I've been pondering this lately......

When I first entered the poly lifestyle,  I had a primary partner.  We'll call him DS (for Devil Spawn).  D.S. had dated someone a few years prior to us meeting (we'll call her M for monogamy)  and then moved away.  They were monogamous (duh).  When I met D.S. he told me about M and said that they stayed in touch.   D.S. and I eventually opened our relationship to others.   On my side of things it went pretty smoothly.  I began casually seeing someone I had seen in the past and who my merry-go-round occasionally stopped for.

D.S. began seeing a few people,  and in addition he made plans for M to come for a visit.  They planned to have her stay with him... for a month.   This concerned me.  I asked if I could introduce myself to her in email.  D.S. was fine with that so I wrote to M.  She was a total sweetheart and we stayed friends even after D.S. earned the name D.S.

M did possess some qualities that gave me pause,  at least when I considered what she'd be walking into.   I found her to be very fragile,  very heart on her sleeve.   She seemed like someone who might get hurt easily.  She desperately wanted to please D.S. and be accepting of poly,  even though she just didn't get it and secretly felt slighted that she wasn't "enough".   In our conversations I got a sense that she was going to be really shaken by visiting D.S. and seeing him as a poly guy.  She entertaining thoughts that they'd be together again in some fashion and that she might be O.K. with his current lifestyle.

I voiced my concerns to D.S. that bringing M here might be emotionally detrimental to her.   We disagreed on that.   Short story is that she came here.  She did stay a month,  and when she went home she needed anti-depressants and therapy for a long time.   Many things factored into her spiral downward.   Trying to handle a polyamorous relationship as a monogamously-wired person sped up this process though,  and aided in her becoming very broken.

This was my entrance to poly.  Although it really sucked at the time it taught me a lot.  It taught me what I don't want.  It taught me that a monogamously-wired person usually doesn't change.  It also taught me that poly is as individual as a fingerprint.   Just because I say I'm poly and I meet you and find out you're poly,  that doesn't make us all that alike.   Maybe walking into a poly situation such as was in place with D.S. was too jolting for M.  Maybe she'd have handled something more subtle and less "in your face" more in a stride.

The qualities that I think are really important for those who practice poly relationships?
  • Maturity (though I would call M mature).
  • Emotional strength
  • A strong sense of self
  • Awareness of your weaknesses
  • The ability to ask for what you need
  • Honesty,  both with yourself and with others
  • Coping strategies for jealousy
  • Able to feel compersion
So here's my short list.  I'd love to hear from those who stop by my blog.  What one quality do you find most vital for poly relationships?   Feel free to share your experiences if you're moved to.

A great conversation in text worth remembering...

me: how confident are you in removing my hood piercing? I can't remove it

G: You find it gets in the way? I'm sure I can get it out.  Getting it back in is a bit trickier

me:  I thought I'd ask you to use the vac.  I just want it out of the way.   I'm putting in a thicker gauge after.  Easy.

G:   The vac will make you extra sensitive while I ruin you - sounds like a plan ,-)

me:  such a masochist

G:  You must need it pretty bad.  If I were really a sadist I'd hide the Hitachi :p

me:   No a real sadist would make me use it

G:  Sounds like an attempt at reverse psychology LoL

me:   Maybe.  But it might exhaust me.  Forced orgasms.  Muscle relaxant.  Alcohol.  THEN extra ruination.

G:   Could almost be enough to hold you over until Friday LoL

me:   Don't go crazy now...

G:   Having 2nd thoughts already? Apparently you need to be reminded how good cock feels when you're ruined

me:  No second thoughts.  I meant you probably can't make me THAT sore :-P

G:   Not all in one go - I don't want you totally out of action before the weekend is done

me:   You can always leave one hole available...

G:   If I have my way, your face hole will be the only one not completely ruined ...unless a sore throat counts as internal collaring?

me:   No. It does NOT.   Ouchie.   You should ruin one hole at a time!

G:   Too much like DS if every hole is pwned?

me:   I don't mind D/s.   You know I can kick your ass...

G:   At backgammon? ,-)

me:   Whatever you say Dear

G:   Xoxo

New play, complete with real fear!

G and I had the chance to play some a few nights ago.   Genital torture,  I love you so!  It's quite strange that I do,  since when I first noticed G on a website for deviants (gasp),  I was scared out of my mind when I saw pictures of various forms of genital torture.   The adorable picture of him with his cat kept me  coming back to his profile though.

So genital torture.  For us that meant that he used the vacuum pump,  to start with.  He has a few new shaped cylinders that hold a seal better,  as well as a new brain for the vacuum itself.  All this adds up to intense suction.   He spent a good 45 minutes pumping my labia,  my clit (by itself),  and various combinations.   It felt like my insides were being sucked out,  but not entirely in a bad way.  Intense is how I'd describe it,  though that's also how I'd describe childbirth.

You'd be amazed how huge labia can become when suctioned with enough force.   Really.   I was a combination of fascinated and horrified.  I'm just glad that he's doing it because he loves,  not only torturing me,  but also how it looks.  It's not my thing but I like pleasing him and this does.  Also,  I have to say that oral sex feels so much more intense after vacuum pumping.  As someone who doesn't actually get off with oral and doesn't experience the intensity that some women do with it,  I was pretty thrilled to feel what I bet other women do.

After lots of suction came G's hands.   He loves using them and he's so skilled.   The parts of me he reaches and what he does to them once he gets his hands on them makes me drool.   Ok,  well not drool but at least yelp.  He knows my insides better than a gynecologist.   I really should get him the t-shirt.  You know the one...."I'm not a gynecologist but I'll have a look."

One of my favorite things that he does with his hands I didn't like when we first started dating.  Once I'm warmed up and relaxed he'll fist me with one hand,  pull it out quickly,  and then fist me with the other.  Rinse and repeat in rapid succession.   When he used to do this I scoot away from him and moan and say no.   Of course he'd push the envelope and grin sadistically.   It don't say no anymore but I still moan.   It's a sensation that can't easily be described.  Both intense and releasing.  That's the best I can do.

Next came the Destroyer.  No,  really.  That's what it's called.  It's a very wide and rather long red dildo with some serious ribbing on it.   It's one of my favorites,  even though I've only experienced it a couple times.  When I first met this toy I was excited to try it.  G warned me that I may find it too much.  He said it's quite a rough ride.   Being the size queen I am,  and finding out that it's much more to do with girth than length,  the Destroyer makes me quite satisfied,  and even proves to be a challenge when used on me by a sadist.    G used the Destroyer quite aggressively,  making sure to get my insides bruised and raw.   His goal was to make me so sore that I'd be feeling it until Friday night.   I wont see him till then.

After the Destroyer G left the room in search of something.   When he returned he had a child's ball with a picture of the Incredible Hulk on it.   It was deflated and he had a condom he was trying to fit on it.   That glint in his eye made me a tiny bit apprehensive.   He told me he was going to put it inside me and then pump it up.  His goal,  since I had seen this trick before,  was to inflate it to the point that it wouldn't fit through my pelvic bones.   Then sit and watch me squirm.   Well,  this did happen.   More happened too.

We played a game.  He inflated the ball to a certain point.  It was a point where it was slightly bigger than my pelvis.  Intense,  but sort of manageable.  Then he handed me the Hitachi and told me to "just try and push it out" (said in a taunting manner).  So,  I was able to do this and I have to admit,  I felt pretty accomplished.

Next time he put the Hulk in and pumped it up a bit more than before I was still.   Then he kept pumping and the intensity got almost too much.   I asked him to stop.  He did,  but he said the ball was slowly losing air.   I got a bit of relief when enough air escaped.   It was still wider than my pelvis though.   He turned on the vacuum pump and tried to force it out with that.   It stayed stuck and now I was moaning more.   Then he pumped up the Hulk more to replace the escaped air.   This time he pumped it to the point that I was yelping and begging for him to get it the hell out of me.   Only problem was the valve had come off and disconnected the Hulk from the pump.    So G had to reach in,  find the valve,  connect it to the pump and deflate it.  This wasn't quick and it was a bit tricky.  The fucker actually did all of that while smiling broadly.   He knew he had beaten me.   I was genuinely scared.

Then what did he do?   He pumped it back up again,  of course.   Maybe just slightly less than he just had,  but still enough for it to be super intense and very stuck.   This time he told me to push it out while using the Hitachi.   I tried,  but the incredible feeling of pressure on my insides was too much to focus on anything else.   G decided that he would pull the ball out himself.  No deflating it.  Just PULL.  Again,  real fear.   We had been there before with him causing a rip and I was pretty frightened that we'd do it again.   He asked me if I was scared and I said I was but I said he should do it anyway.   Hey,  I am a masochist.   Having consent,  he did indeed pull it out,  and no,  I didn't rip.   So it was kind of like childbirth but without a screaming baby covered in goo.   I got an Incredible Hulk instead.

G and I have spoken during the week and he asked if I'm still sore and bruised from Tuesday.   There has been some talk (O.K. I might have suggested some of it) of vacuum suctioning and then piercing my labia,  putting the Hulk inside,  sewing the labia closed,  corset-style,  and then pumping up the Hulk.   All I volunteered was the vacuum suctioning and the needles.  The rest of that I did NOT sign on for.   There was mention of using a box cutter in there too but I think he's bluffing.
